Sekere Jesu (Jesus’ beaded gourd)
“Sekere Jesu” is an indigenous palace type of music to praise JESUS as the only King of the universe. Some African nations like the “Yorubas” of southwestern Nigeria believes that “Sekere does not embark on a journey of sorrow, it is only played in an event of happiness” This music titled “Sekere Jesu” is a traditional gospel music aimed at praising God in an African-rich cultural style. It is rich in African percussion like talking drums; with a mixture of Yoruba, English and Igbo language. Full of praise to God.
