OBSOLETE!

FINAL SAGA

“I really don’t know much I feel you should visit your spiritual head/parent they would understand better” Esther her personal assistant advised.

“I don’t have a pastor or spiritual head I submit to, I ran away from the supposed people that had the capacity to head me due to fame” Bernice responded.

“That’s not so good ma we all need a spiritual head especially people that carry the measure of God’s gift and grace over them,It is called Law of submission irrespective of our height they stand as our head to rebuke us when we go astray.” Esther continued.

“Am so confused I don’t know how I got here, couple of years back I wasn’t like this what could possibly be the problem the veil has been taken off” Bernice asked in bewilderment.

“I will suggest you have a time with God like a retreat or personal reflection time” Esther suggested.

“I don’t even have enough strength to withstand God or boldly access him, How do I start?what would I say its been long I prayed to him like his daughter” Bernice lamented.

“Even the strangers still attract God by asking him for mercy whenever they need his help and our heavenly father does attend to them,God isn’t just compassionate his name is compassion he hears us when we call on him, Jeremiah 33:3 call unto me I will answer thee” Esther concluded

Bernice sat on the praying mountain asking God for mercy and visitation as she prayed she slept off during the prayers.

“Stop right there” an husky said from behind.

Bernice stopped turning 180° to look whose voice it was.
“Why would I stop, As you can see am on my way to the palace for the feast” She addressed the man on white garment which looked like an angel.

“You should stop because you aren’t entitled to enter and seat with the kings and queen in that palace you don’t belong there any longer” The angel responded.

“And who exactly are you to give such verdict” Bernice enquired.

“I have the authority to stop you, I am your guardian angel but I left you years back”

“Haaa! Please tell me the reason why am not being granted access to the palace and why you left me all alone” she queried.

“You want to know” Her guardian angel sighed deeply.

“Few years back when the Holy Father released the gift of music upon you he made you a sign for the gentiles to shew forth his glory, he gave you a staff and every entitlement of the palace as a princess afterwards he paved way for little opportunities to see how faithful you would be in little before your capacity is enlarged but you trashed the whole package of God with your insensitivity and covetousness you trusted men’s advice ahead of what the Holy one as written concerning you, A trumpet was blown instantly in heaven about your fall yet the holy one gave you time to see if you would repent or turn a new leaf but all to no avail. The Lord is full of mercy and graciousness he sent a minister to you but how did you treat him, You treated him like a trash can and concluded he was calling you to minister in his church for free. Truly, you erred against God but your personal assistant never stopped interceding for you she saw you as her personal assignment she arose as an intercessor for her prayers and God’s mercy the gift of God upon you had been given to her but you have a second chance.

“Haaa! Jesus save me, I have been replaced?” Bernice eyes pumped out tears as water.

“Yes but you have a second chance” The angel showed her a way that linked to where people like her was she saw Samson there yes the one in the bible and Vashti the dethroned queen.

“To regain your spiritual stamina you have a lot of work to do, be humble, serve others, retreat more, be teachable, be sensitive for the devil is still roaring in the compound of your seeking how he would completely devour you. Your case was about to be closed in heaven when an intercessor arose for you for the sake of her heartfelt prayers go and put yourself to order.” The angel concluded.

The dream ended soberly, She was back to the physical realm a lot of questions ran across her head.

“Mercy! Mercy!!Mercy like rain she soaked herself into it like her whole life was about to crumble she needed help just like that her ministry sank at the sea shore” Bernice knelt down to plead for mercy

“Swallow your pride you’ve been rejected come unto me I would burden you but you will be famous” A foul spirit whispered to her ears
She rejected the devil that was his voice the last time he spoke to me she said resiliently.

Few years later,
Bernice was given the privilege to minister to just hundreds of congregation which she did with all sense of service and humility. She understood that God with her was much more better than multitude of congregation that would make her loose her position in God’s kingdom.

[New Story] DERELICT by Omolara Jegede

By Omolola T J

The music was popping, everyone seems to be happy but not joyous as they danced to a pop track by a well-known secular musician. Some guys had long pipes of cannabis in their hands. Some strippers were too busy showing off themselves. Everyone was busy with either one thing or the other.

Pelumi a young lady was also at the scene, she drinking off her throat.
Earlier that day, Femi, her boyfriend, had called it a quits. All she could do was to drink to let the memories flush off her brain. Why am I always cheated? I need a true love. She whispered drunkenly.
Wale, a young, lanky guy showed up right before her face. I am here, the true love you seek for. He responded with cannabis in his hands.
Okay, let’s order more drinks since its a toast to me for finding another new lover, Pelumi snorted.
Pelumi stood to take her leave. As she stood, her legs were weak. she was going to fall. Wale grabbed her. I will take you home, miss, he offered.
Zoom! And they were there. It was a well furnished apartment of two rooms and a sitting room, a toilet and kitchen. She slammed herself on the couch and dozed off. Wale ensured sure she was safe. He took her phone and flashed his mobile phone so as to have her number for effective communication.
The next day she crawled from her bed to get the early momo chores fixed since it was a Saturday. As she stood up, she noticed her heels was still on her and the stench of alcohol. How did I get home? Last I checked, I was at the club. The confused expression was still on her pale face when her phone beeped.
Hi!”
Good morning.
Please who am I on to?”
I am Wale Badmus, our paths crossed last night at the club”.
Oh! I really can’t remember the occurrence. All the same, it’s my pleasure speaking with you. Hmm.
My pleasure. Did you see your purse where I kept it beside your t.v set?
Oh geez! A stranger brought me home. It dawned on her that she was having a substantial amount in her purse. Her salary. She was unable to deposit the money in her account due to the breakup, and it was a Friday. Banks closes by 2pm. I hope I haven’t been duped with the break up she thought as she stood up swiftly to get her purse and see for herself if Wale hadn’t picked her money. Men can’t be trusted so much and I detest them, She growled Wow! it’s intact. This guy is an angel!
Hello, are you there, miss?
Yes, thanks a lot Wale, I am grateful.
Please save my contact and I will save yours too, so we could get to know ourselves better. Thanks”.

The call abruptly came to an end. She sat with the t.v set to watch a telenovo love series. She was drenched in tears. She had a flashback about her life in the past seven years. It was a total mess. She lost her parents earlier than expected which led to the quest for her seeking a shoulder to lean on but there seems to be no true love anywhere. About five guys had already had their ways through her, and each seem to get her even more broken. She lost her virginity to Akin, the silly guy that promised her heaven and earth, I want to marry you Pelumi”, Akin had said to her seven years back. But where is he now? She queried in bewilderment.
Or is it Olumide that turned me into Central Bank of Africa. Stop looking at me like that. I know it is Central Bank of Nigeria, but the useless thing really drained me financially. I paid his house rent, I fed him, I clothed him, I gave myself to him for free sexual intercourse. Some guys need serious ogun curse (god of iron curse). I thought I had gotten to my place of joy only for me to discover he was cheating on me.
Gabriel, another devil incarnate. This guy almost killed me in the relationship of just eight months. He fed me with nice punches and beautiful slaps. Though he had money, his rascality no be for here.
As she flipped the channels on television to check other stations ,she saw an advert for a singles summit with the dock, tagged: Single but not Stupid
Pelumi almost laughed her ribs off on seeing the tag for the summit, as she tried to turn change the channel, something struck her mind: I think I should attend this meeting”.

She wore a blue crop top to match with her pink skirt. She applied her sleek makeup to blend her face contour. The summit will be commencing by twelve, she had already scribbled the address on her phone notepad. She headed straightway to the venue, it was an event hall.
Just as she was about entering through the door, grin grin grin her phone rang and it was Wale, the new guy from last night. What does he want again? she soliloquized as she clicked the answer button, Hey.
How are you doing? Guess your day is going great. Just thinking if we could hang out together today Pelumi?.
Wow! that’s great. So what time do you think we can meet?” She queried.
How about in the next two hours or what do you think?.
Argh! I just remembered now, I am at a singles summit and I don’t know when we will be through”

Oh! oh! singles what? So you are a church mouse. What were you doing at the club last night?
Pelumi was already tired of the conversation, Please, lets talk later. I need to go now”.
As she entered the hall, everywhere was dazzling in lights and sparks. This is great, I must attest. Pelumi was mesmerized just then she heard a feminine voice from behind.
You are welcome to this summit ma. Please register your details here. She was given a profile pad to enter her bio. She was then given a tag with her name on it.

“Wow! I feel loved”, Pelumi marveled. Just then a young lanky guy came to her to lead her to her seat. She saw some people at the red carpet. She was too shy to go there. She focused on her whatsapp chat with her female friend. In no time, a young lady came to her staring at her tag “Pelumi, you are welcome to GPH. It is Godly and Purposeful Hub. Why are you seating all by yourself? Let’s join the red carpet.” Said Remi, the moderator of the hub.
She stood up slowly. The red carpet was lit. She met so much young ladies of her age as they exchanged digits and gists.
At exactly twelve, the program began. The hall was filled up with about 300 young guys and ladies.
Pelumi’s joy knew no bounds. She felt sincerely loved for the first time in the past seven years. “The guest speaker came forward for her session and it was as if my life biography was opened to her. She discussed about “self acceptance”. After the whole talk, she had an altar call concluding that the only person that could love us genuinely is Jesus”. Pelumi soliloquised as she dragged herself to the platform. “I need true love, I need Jesus”.
The sessions ended and she decided that moment to start a new life in Christ. She arrived home still feeling great. She knelt down and spoke with God as if she saw him physically. After her prayers, she headed to the kitchen to prepare something sumptuous. She deleted all memories of the past guys on her mobile phone.

Months later, she got a text from GPH that there was going to be another summit. Pelumi was glad to attend. She hadn’t gotten over the dealings of the last summit.
Pelumi drew closer to God. Indeed, she enjoyed true love from the Holy Spirit. He is so sweet. She also got promoted at her work place after the encounter. She enjoyed all round serenity.
God told her about her purpose that the fallow ground was broken. He imprinted it on her heart that she had a connection with the GPH. She was unable to fix her heart on what the connection is all about.
The next summit came up and the whole place was glittering. She sat down quietly reading a Christian e-book on her phone. A young guy sat adjacent to her. As she lifted her eyes, she felt aligned to him but he was a total stranger.
“I am Peter Bells , I will like to meet you”.

“I am Pelumi Bello, my pleasure meeting you too”.

The duo got talking about God before the commencement of the program.

The summit ended soon. Peter demanded to know Pelumi better. They exchanged digits. They got talking on whatsapp and via calls. Unknown to Pelumi, Peter was the convener of the summit though he was still single. God gave him the mandate while on campus and since then, God has been faithful. His humility was unbeatable. He only brought guest speakers to the program so that himself and other singles will get blessed. Only few of the people knew he was the convener of the hub.
Weeks later, Peter told Pelumi he would like to see her. She stopped by after work at the venue for the meeting with Peter.
“I like you, and I want to marry you, Pelumi. I will give you time to go to God and ponder on it”. Peter said immediately after greeting her.
Pelumi was dumbfounded and extremely sweaty, “Erhm! It’s okay sir. I will feed you back in the next two weeks sir”.
The meeting was brief. It lasted five minutes as they both went on their different paths.
God kept telling Pelumi that she had a link with GPH. She knew God was talking about her marriage and purpose. Indeed she met Peter at the GPH SUMMIT, but what is the purpose connection about? She was confused.
Two weeks later, Pelumi called Peter. They hadn’t spoken for the past two weeks since the proposal. “Please lets meet today at the same venue”.
“That’s great”, Peter responded from the other end of the phone.
He wore a simple polo t-shirt with a pair of sneakers to match his jeans trousers.

Pelumi wore a smart blue gown with a pair of sandals. She rehearsed her response again. She smooched the cologne on her body.

The duo sat adjacent each other in silence as Peter gazed on her. She felt so shy that she forgot all her rehearsed lines.
“God said yes, and I say yes too.”
Peter gave a very excited look and gestured wildly. He was a young man with courtesy, if not, he would have shouted at the eatery like the way some of you did. Yes, you that brother reading this. You almost broke a glass because she said yes. Peter maintained his tempo and joy. Afterwards he revealed to her that he was the converner of the hub. Wow! Everything began to make sense by and by.
The duo got married. They lived purposefully, as the hub impacted lives tremendously. Pelumi’s past became a check for as many in her shoes. They had two kids a boy and a girl, they lived beautifully and purposefully.
