The trio strolled down the aisle to have a hearty-dimpy conversation.
Rose, Praise and Faith had been good friends way back since 100l the bond they disseminated was like the three fold cord, the trio were in their final year and it was their norms to stroll out and have serious life matters discussion.
“God, I truly wish school isn’t going to come to a verge soon. This spiritual bonding that we share is one great thing”. Faith appraised.
“My sisters it has been nice encountering covenant partners like you days of deep confab and prayer labours. Kaii! I only wish we can all be deployed to same state for our one year compulsory service. This encounter has been a blessing to me personally” Rose interrupted.
“We thank God for shapening us thus far, the revelations of the scripture is always another hunger for more” Sisters God has helped us.
“Days when we had just cassava flakes to consume after severe fast, God please don’t stop yet with us” Praise alerted.
They chatted deeply to how God has been transforming their individual families.
They headed to the palm fronds man made chair to have their seat that was their regular locale for deep study and prayers.
The purpose for their meeting was to seek God’s counsel concerning their Nysc deployment if God was sending them to the same territory.
Trust baba God he always spoils the plan of man that his own prevail that’s why he is our father the one that knows the best location for every child.
Smiles! They began praying abruptly with ferocious actions and demonstrations.
“Pause” God came in a still small voice.
The trio went silent it was obvious that God was intentional about speaking so early with them but through which means they allowed the holy ghost channel them to the corridor of encounters.
Faith lifted her glabella to the sky but something caught her spirit in the process it was a tree.
“Sisters! Let’s look at this tree what do we see” Faith blurted with smiles
“I see a greenish part on the tree with beautiful fruits” Rose responded looking at the tree from her angle of view.
“I see a lemon like leaves on this tree like a very light green” Praise responded now confused
“That’s it sisters on the same tree how can we have different colour of leaves this isn’t a coincidence, I sense God sending a message across to us and here is the message. When we abide continually in God he makes us thrive, flourish, greenish, nourished and well cultured”. Faith began.
Rose reached out for her journal to pen words down Faith was a gifted vessel in the interpretation of nature to kingdom disposition.
” God is saying we won’t be posted to the same state he is shooting us strategically to territories so as to make him known to everyone we contact, First things first the lemon green is an example of what our lives we look like when we didGod somewhere and expect to thrive, our thriving becomes strivings”
“Jesus! Help us to abide so that we can thrive” Praise exclaimed.
“The green leaves are those that stay, dwell and live in God while they duly trust Him for their thrivings and nourishment, Psalms 1:3 And he will be like a tree firmly planted and fed by stream of water, which yields its fruit in its season; it leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does(education, business, purpose, ministry, relationship etc) he prospers(and comes to maturity”. Faith concluded.
Rose and Praise echoed it as if it was a planned dialogue.
” This is so rich and large”.
It was a message to carry beyond service year the trio worshipped God.
Few months later they were all mobilised and God brought his word to pass as he hath spoken it.
Faith got posted to Zamfara, Praise got deployed to Enugu and Rose was deployed to Sokoto………….
The trio held onto the word of God and indeed they thrived in a strange land…Just like Isaac.
Yes you can I mean you can do even more. You can thrive more than your limitations but you need to abide in God he is the keen factor that makes men thrive. Don’t forget he raises one from the dunghill and set him amongst princes🙏
Femi was young man in his early thirties, he is currently running his Post graduate programme in prestigious private university in town no doubt he was fair to look upon with big brain.
“Good morning sir ” The Female cafeteria attendant(Bimbo)in the university responded courteously.
“Good morning” He responded with a bon face
“Place your order” She emphasized.
“Please is Bunmi in? the other female attendant” He replied with contempt.
“No sir, she has stopped work here”
“Oh I see, what’s your qualifications cos I can’t allow a low degree person serve me food I believe by now the cafeteria director should have at least told you” Femi bragged in his tone.
Bimbo a smart, young lady she was also running her PhD programme in a Federal university her aunt owns the cafe due to laçk of staff her aunt had implored her to help out at the cafe that weekend.
“I be primary school leaver oga (I am)” she switched to Pidgin trying to see the drama the Femi guy was going to perform she had always heard about him.
“Bloody shit, Can you call out your manager before hell let loose here I can’t imagine a low life serving me with all my level of academc/ ceremonial award”. Femi blurted out in rage.
What’s happening here the manager came downstairs swiftly.
The whole scenario was narrated to him. The manager smiled, I know a day like this would eventually come ” How are the mighty fallen and the weapons of war.. ” I think for this scenario that verse of the scripture should go like this “How are the proud disgraced and their back brought down low”.
At this juncture the manager’s phone rang it was the Director she was viewing all the dramatic display from the CCTV in her office.
“It’s the PhD man ma, he is speaking rashly to miss Bimbo because she said she’s a school leaver you know his problem with qualifications I doubt if the man is mentally fine” The manager said few metres away to the scene.
In a jiffy the director came downstairs..
“Mr. man what exactly is the color of your problem sir? why so pained on this issue of qualification who cares about who serves food at the cafeteria if not an insane person like, are you even sane? All this while you come with annoying questions to my staff and I try as much as possible to keep you coded but since you can’t take or surpress your pride I will help you do that without torture.”Mrs. Horlick sounded in rage.
Femi stood still with arms akimbo trying to see what the verdict of Bimbo would look like ..
“The young lady is my own biological sister, Mr man she is also running her PhD programme and if not, does that give you the audacity to mentally silence my staff with academic qualification?. Henceforth, I seek your indulgence that you stop patronising us. It appears we have given you too wide chances that you nag at every slightest moment losing you as a customer isn’t going to cost this cafe any loss. I will say this so everyone can hear the reason why we lack staff is because of your personal law code please leave so I can employ young people that needs to put food on their table” Mrs. Horlick concluded.
Mrs. Horlick hurried up the stairs it’s been decades she spoke rashly to anyone she was an introvert a highly rated phelgmatic..
“Professor Femi, please take your leave” Bimbo whispered.

Pride indeed goes before a fall, whatsoever position we find ourselves in life we should never see it as our legal right but as a privilege which is to be maximized carefully. No one has it all that which you have is someone else’s prayer point and vice versa.
Let’s look into what God’s word state about pride “When pride comes, then comes disgrace” Proverbs 11:2
Music minister, Teachers , political leaders etc check your pride level with the pridometer app before disgrace sets in.
Love is indeed sweet when you are with the right person welcome to the Jacob’s family.
“Dear, welcome back hope you had a stress-free day at work” Mrs Jacob smiled to her husband.
“Yea! Thanks” His eye brow jacked downward as if there was a secret up sleeves.
“Is everything alright honey why are you cutting corners with your eyebrows” She asked intriguingly.
“I missed my period” He replied.
She smiled looking at her timid, funny husband for the past fourteen years of their marriage that was the figure of speech he had created to inform her about his cravings for sexual intercourse on similar occasion.
Isn’t that funny? Yes it is. Keep reading.
“Okay sir, Don’t worry I would fly you over to Jerusalem” she teased him.
“That’s my bea” he managed to say his eyebrows still downward.
“Freshen up and let’s have our dinner of plantain frittata and sponge buns with your favorite pineapple juice” She said swiftly.
“Yummy,” He said salivating.
“When will the kids be home for the third term break I have a surprise for them” he added.
“Next week their school sent a mail to our joint email address I should pick them up on Wednesday hopefully”
“Oh! That’s good endeavour you prepare something nice for them, I trust you anyways”
“Hmmmmm.. I would be heading upstairs let me go and prepare the way” she said beaming with smile.
“Which way? Oh I almost forgot for our Jerusalem trip. Occupy till I come” The duo bursted into laughter.

I know you are smiling already mbok seat properly don’t allow your phone fall off keep digesting.
Every student is hereby advised to buckle up we are aware the first toppers have access to scholarship for the next session.
“Hello Dad, next week is our break I like mummy to prepare my favorite” Flora Jacob said selfishly.
Lucia, her elder sister, snatched the phone from her to speak with their father.
“Good morning dad, Please don’t listen to her vain request just tell mum to prepare anything can’t wait to be home and have some of mum’s delicacy she is the best cook in the world anyways so any meal would be great” Lucia said boastfully .
Flora stretched forth her hands to grab the phone back but it was too late her sister already divulged her words she walked away lividly.
“Flora!” Lucia beckoned on her from behind.
Flora kept walking till she finally entered her hostel
*******
A group of JSS2 students sat together to have what they call group reading. Flora was the group leader, no doubt. Right from her basic school till the present time she had always topped her class.
“What is pollution?” She asked turning her eyeballs eastward towards where Tolani was seated.
“Polution is … is …is… Am sorry, I don’t remember what I read” Tolani Larafe replied dumbfounded.
“Why are you always like this few weeks to vacation or holidays” Gloria another girl jerked.
“I just can’t place my hands on what is wrong also you perform so well in class on every normal day but once its our mid-term or examination period you start fluctuating like a generator without fuel in it” Deborah added.
“That’s enough” Flora said to calm everyone down. Aside the fact that she was intelligent, she also had what we can call an inherent leadership ability.
Leadership will make some sense when the leader possess more quality than their follower’s, grab a smoov (chapman) drink. Let’s kwantinue.
Everywhere was silent. Flora stood up to lift Tolani up from where she was sitting and guess what Tolani was all soaked in tears.
“I am sorry I can’t do this anymore” Tolani said.
Shock ran across the other girls’ spine they thought it was their harsh words that made her vented such response.
“I can’t keep this any longer” Tolani continued.
“What?! “The other girls chorused in shock and dismay.
“I have a story to share with you” Tolani said as she continued sobbing.
********
“Foolish man, infidel, kill me since you are a murderer” Tolani’s mother said to her husband.
“You call me foolish, Haaa… this woman you are toying with the lion’s tail. If I beat you now people who were not there when you opened your dirty mouth to call me a fool would call me a beast” Tolani’s dad responded.
“Insolence! Don’t you look like a beast even your mother and father are parents of a beast, Come near me I would pour this hot water on you”
“Did you just mention my parents as beast, You mean your inlaws are beast I can’t bear this any longer” He replied as he stretched forth his hands for a blow.
“Argh…… Am dead ooo he has killed me, my ancestors I am coming to join the invisible choirs” She dramatized.
“Mum………. Please stop fighting with daddy” Tolani pleaded she was in basic three and before then her father and mother had always been acting up as undertaker vs John Cena in a wrestling match.
My mum and dad fight almost everyday even our neighbours got tired of settling their disputes everyone has their personal issues to settle. Often times I would lock up myself in my room to cry all night I thought that was all life meant to be unhappy at times why I got to Basic Five. I sat down to watch a telenova series when my dad came in with another woman. I thought I had seen it all. The next day mummy did the same.
The guy mum brought home that day was a drug addict. Since that day till date, he fingers me. It hurts knowing that under my parents’ roof I am being molested without the consent of my parents.
Since then till now, going home for vacation is never my joy. How I wish the school would just let me stay in the hostel alone.
“Ha……”Flora said.
“We’ve been friends for over two years and half and you never mentioned this” Flora lamented.
She had always admired Tolani and every time she had wished Tolani could be her best friend before now.
“Yes, we are reading mates but I was never close to anyone specifically that I could have share this with I am psychologically sick” Tolani concluded.
“How can we be of help” Deborah said spreading her arms into the air other girls too felt bad.
“Help? There is possibly little or no help you can do am only sharing this with you so that you can know the reason for my mood swing and academic problem.” Tolani said.
“I would be of help, there must be a way out of all this mess” Flora said.
The other girls casted glances on Flora what was she up to again this time.
******
Mrs.Jacob drove her blue Honda Element car into Holgate International Schools. It was vacation. She couldn’t wait to see her beautiful girls. She had always thanked God for the gift of them to her and husband.
“Mum, Good afternoon ma” Flora and Lucia echoed in unison.
“God’s gift, How are you doing” she hugged the girls she has always called them both God’s gift indeed they were gift from God.
“Good day ma” Another voice echoed from behind.
Mrs. Jacob turned to see who the young girl was and guess what it was Tolani.
“Mum, meet my best friend her name is Tolani” Flora jacked in.
“Oh! I see. How are you Tolani?” Mrs. Jacob said giving Flora a “you never told me you have a best friend look”
“Mum her parents won’t show up to pick her up can we help her to our place today and then by tomorrow she would leave for home” Flora pleaded.
All this while Lucia stood still looking at the play her little sister was putting up, She knew Flora had always mentioned Tolani as one of her casual friends but when did he status quo upgraded to best friend.
“Okay, Tolani are you sure your parents won’t be bothered about this idea” Mrs Jacob cut in
“No ma, I would call them since its late already that I can’t make I home” Tolani said.
“That response isn’t okay by me, I will speak to your mum that you’ll be staying over at my place tonight and tomorrow I will personally take you home” Mrs. Jacobs replied
“Thank you mum” Flora gave her mum a big peck
******
“Dinner is served girls, the dinning is set” Lucia said opening Flora’s room slightly to inform them about dinner.
“Let’s go Tolani” Flora said.
“Thank you so much,Flora for accommodating me in your home” Tolani said
“Glory be to God” Flora responded.
The whole family blessed the food they were all set for the dinner of Rice,Plantain and fish sauce.

“Useless man, woman wrapper I have been told that you flirt around with young girls in the vicinity jumping from dark skinned to light skinned colour”. Mrs. Larafe shouted lividly at the top of her voice.
“Now you are Jealous that another woman will soon take your place in this house?”Mr. Larafe responded.
“Jealous of what? Is it of the gonorrhea or the syphilis or AIDS in your body tufiaka (God forbid), Association of foolish married men president” She added.
The duo heard a knock on the door, Mr. Larafe thought it was one of their supposed peacemaker neighbor’s he reached for the door to vent words on whoever was at the door to his amazement he saw a total stranger with their only daughter. So many questions ran across his head.
“Good morning sir” Mrs. Jacob and Tolani echoed together.
“Morning please how may I help you and Tolani go and drop your bag in your room” Mr. Larafe showed Mrs. Jacob to their unkempt living room.
“Thanks a lot sir, I would be leaving very soon anyways”
“Oh! You are welcome and Thanks for accommodating Tolani over at your place”
“Oh! It’s nothing, I should be leaving now sir”.
“Okay, Madam its our pleasure having you here this morning”
“Alright, Tolani bye dear”
“Bye ma” Tolani
responded from dinning.
********
“God, I am tired of my family status help mummy to love daddy and vice versa. Indeed when two elephants are fighting the grass on the field suffers the loss. Heavenly father avenge for me” Tolani prayed silently in her room.
********
Mrs. Jacob flashed back at the scenario that popped out of Tolani’s family earlier that day.
Why would parents be that negligent about the drama they put up before their wards? Flora wouldn’t mind if Tolani stays over at her place for decades all that matters is that Tolani is safe from the acclaimed molestation.
“Dear God, save this family if not for anything do it for the sake of the girl” Mrs. Jacob sighed.
*****
Days later, Tolani had developed a seizure she couldn’t breathe well it’s been weeks she discovered her ill-health but her parents were either in one quarrel or the other.
On one of the occasion she had an attack she lost her breathe while their neighbor was frying plantain while her parents wasted away in their arguments.
“Mum” Tolani managed to call she was dying helplessly on the floor.
Her father pushed her mother towards Tolani room the door flung open that was when they saw Tolani on the floor hopeless they rushed her to the hospital.
“Foolish man” Tolani’s mother said to her husband as she paced across the hospital.
“Are you a mother or a murderer all you know is to pick up fight with me. You didn’t observe if the girl was alright all this while”
“Fatherer you that observed and didn’t do the needful, please am not in for all this talk of yours” she replied.
The doctor walked past just in time
“Doc, what’s happening please speak to us”
“You brought her just in time, she is safe”
“I would like to see you sir” The doctor pointed to Tolani’s father
“For what sir? I am her mother she suckled this breast for nine month. Say anything you want to say here or else my husband knows me that I am a mental case”.
“Oh! Oh! Your girl has been diagnosed with asthma”
“How?” The duo chorused.
“I don’t know too, but it must be hereditary” The doctor said.
“I know that this isn’t in my family but it’s from yours” Tolani’s father said.
“Laughing! Nonsense man so you think my family has health issues, see who is talking your aunty is on the wheel chair battling with stroke your uncle aunty’s mother is having epileptic seizure. Don’t let me even start at all” Tolani’s mother said.
*******
Few days later, Tolani was discharged from the hospital under medication and medical care.
Later that evening, the Jacobs came to pay Tolani visit Flora was all around her gleaning she wished she had moved closer to Tolani before now.
“We brought you this” Mrs.Jacob pointing at the beverage she had brought for Tolani
“Thank you ma” Tolani managed to say.
“You are welcome, we would’ve on our way now”
“Thanks ma, Good bye” Tolani waving at Flora and her mum.
********
Days later, Tolani’s mum was preparing beans for lunch when her daring husband came in
“Can’t you greet? I don’t even know how I managed to end up with you” Tolani’s father said.
“Awnnn! Goodman why don’t you greet first before you start with your brouhaha am not in for your regular argument let sleeping dogs lie ooo” she responded.
Tolani peeped to see what was happening it was the regular combat in their house she withdrew back to her room.
Minutes later the beans got burnt giving a chocking odour.
Tolani suffocated till she gave up the ghost, Yes she died.
“Is it not your stupid food that is burning pathetic” Tolani’s father alarmed.
The whole kitchen was in total mess with smell.
“Tolani, I need to go see her in her room” The careless mother said.
“What?”
“She is dead” The doctor said as he turned back to go.
“Arghh! You killed my daughter witch” Tolani’s father lamented.
“No, I didn’t kill her” Tolani’s mother wept on her kneels.
***The End***
When the destiny of a glorious child is tied into the hands of negligent parent(s), the loss will be painful.
Dear readers, parents please let your children live we may say they are too young to understand but they understand beyond what we think.
It is called the home not the ring for boxers or wrestlers, pay attention to the little ones in your homes they also want peace. Children are God’s heritage treat them as one.
“Laide, you are so emotional I told you to let David’s issue slide or is there more to this than I thought”
“Peju, see! you can’t understand how I esteem this guy in my heart, he is just the man I have planned forever with I love him so much.”
“What do you plan to do now since the relationship is complicated? My candid advice for you is to waka pass(walk away) let it go no man is worth dying for Laide didn’t I gist you what Marcus did to me after five years of dating let me remind you incase you forgot.”
“Pej bae, tomorrow is your big day I am thinking of celebrating you in a special way just tell me a wish and I fulfil it instantly”. Marcus requested. “Marcus, boo you know that tomorrow is my birthday and I want you to celebrate me loudly on your social media handle post me on your facebook, tweet me, instalive, Whatsapp and lots more. “Errrrrhn! upload what? I think we talked about this already I do no social media show on my relationship I want a low-key relationship for some personal reasons”.
“You still haven’t told me about that personal reasons I guess this is supposed to be a date it takes two to tangle, You don’t share your reasons with me and you expect me to accept it just like that. Hell! No” This time Marcus was already raising his voice like a ruckus was about to kick start. “Watch your tongue Peju” “Marcus, see its like this relationship is on the way to the sea and this boat of love could capsized at any moment but I want you to understand that I love you and don’t forget I had always been there for you”. “So what? That you paid my school fees for three sessions, that you clothed and fed me all through our days on campus and that your uncle got me this job any lady can do that”.
“Marcus I never mentioned all of the above you did please just put a smile on my face tomorrow that’s all I request”
“Gbas” , Marcus gave Peju a very hot slap.
You reading this now is Peju’s request too much to ask relationship coach I think we need to talk on this, lemme comman and be going.
“Marcus you slapped me, I don’t think what I have said demands a slap no problem because of love I forgive you”
“Peju, it is over between us let’s go our separate ways I cease to be your boyfriend today June 12 ****” Marcus finally bursted out.
Wait fess what just happened now after slap she said she still loves him dear readers this kind love is what I call dhdhdjjdjf Love😁.
Peju gallivanted around the living room she was misbehaving like what did her ears heard now. “Over between us Marcus for what? I didn’t say this to begin a quarrel so why are you taking everything this serious?” “Wow! You are seeing this as some kind of joke right I mean my words per bit capital letter it is OVER!”
“Marcus, am not seeing this funny any longer don’t worry let’s not do the social media coverage again lets just pretend this conversation never took place” Peju said looking confused.
“You think this is some kind of comedy shey hello Peju Ogunmakin please get out of my house it is over”.
“This isn’t funny again” Peju thought, her lifetime investment was this guy and see how he is telling me to go just like that. “Marcus, please don’t do this to us we can talk this out amicably at least we had serious quarrel and you never mention the word over why then is it at this juncture all will be over.”
“If you will excuse me” Marcus walked out on her “Marcus walked out on me this isn’t funny any longer” tears flowed from her glabella endlessly.
Happy birthday to you Peju her friends had come early that day to throw her a surprise party.
As she struggled from her bed she wished no one would wish her a Happy birthday please tell me reader’s what is good about my 28th birthday My boo broke up with me yesterday literally I am single and searching is it now a birthday to be happy about if only my friends knows my present ordeal may be they would have chorused. Sad birthday to you! Yuck Peju just play along don’t spoil the fun.
Kike, Omotara, Damilola, Feyi and three others came with cakes and birthday gifts to celebrate their dear friend.
“Babe, We pray may this year be better than your yester years”They all rained prayers on her.
“Amen” is this year really going to be better or a worse one the sign I saw yesterday is enough to define the new year” she thought.
“So what do you have at home let’s make you something yummy”Kike asked. “I don’t have any thing beef at home you won’t believe I almost forgot today is my day”she lied.
“We brought beef not to worry so we will prepare pepper soup and pounded yam or what do you want to eat just name it we dey ground for today( we are available)” Damilola suggested.
“I will be fine with pepper soup and fried rice you know I don’t want you people for stress” Peju said.
“Very good! In the next forty minutes the meal will be served enjoy your day birthday girl” Omotara said as the three of them headed to the kitchen to do the ministry.
“We didn’t even see Marcus around why is he not here yet” Feyi asked.
“He is fine, he needed to rush down to the office to get one or two things done” She lied.
“Oh! Oh! He won’t dare to come here when it is not that his village people are doing him” Feyi said. “Like I don’t understand what you are talking about Feyi I just told you he went to work what is it about this village people” Peju widened her eyeballs.
“Just take a look at this, Feyi brought out her phone to show Peju how Marcus had been playing hide and seek with her friends life.” “Am I dreaming? You mean Marcus is married with two kids a boy and a girl” Peju questioned. “Not that alone, he made a bet with some of his friends that he will date you. His relationship was based on betting’s and gambling. My friend this is my advice let this guy slide ooo” Feyi said emphatically
“Wait Feyi, when did you see this pictures and videos”
” My dear, I saw it 10pm last night on his facebook and every of his social media handle or did something go wrong between the two of you?”
“it was after the break-up he uploaded it” Peju sobbed like a baby. “You are crying is it that serious and you still haven’t told me the genesis of the break up”. Feyi patted her as she made her inquiry. Peju took her phone to check her social media account. “What? this guy tagged me and added my pictures saying I am a zombie, its like I need the A.C”
“The A.C is on Peju what’s wrong?” Feyi wondered. “Marcus has killed me see my likes and comment, How do I clear myself from this mess” Peju stretched forth her phone for Feyi to view it “1k likes 802 comments, seriously we need to sue this guy for assault” Feyi buttressed. “Am broken I was so foolish to fall for a guy as Marcus I cursed the day I met him, I cursed the day I said yes to his proposal. My foolishness has made me jinxed and is about to tarnish my image on my social media” Peju said regrettably.
“Just calm down” Feyi pleaded.
“Calm what I am high already and I can take a gun to shoot the asshole Marcus just imagine the mud he dragged my name into after scamming me into a fake love”.
“Please Peju, I understand you don’t like what the present state is but please let’s calm down and handle what is on ground with maturity”
“Okay I am calming down” Peju fidgeted.
“Laide, lets leave the rest na story. Just look at me I am enjoying my life as a single lady even at age thirty I can’t come and kill myself”. “Peju, David hurts me so well but am left with no option than to let him slide thanks for your time”. “Smile small this your face isn’t appearing elegant let’s take selfie”.
“Shola, I think you will like this lady she is my sister’s friend stretching forth his phone to him to have a glance at her picture”.
“Folarin, How many times have I told that I am not interested in any lady in fact I will make myself an eunuch I will honourably stay single than getting married.”Shola responded. “Guy, what’s exactly is your brouhaha for the past six years you and I have been together I have never for once see a female fly perched your door post not to talk less of a lady I mean complete human being come I will have no other option than to believe what people are saying” “Please tell me what they are saying, I really don’t care”. “Are you an impotent?”
“Yes I am, hope you are balanced back everyone has reasons to their standard all still boils down to I am not getting married.”
“You are my friend and we share everything in common which means that your problems are mine too in this house but I really want to know the reason behind this standard of yours.” “Okay, I was eight years old when my step mother molested me for series of years, my academics drooped drastically, every night was a moment of imbalance for me I summoned the courage to conclude that I will never get married if all women were like my step mum. “Hmm,I understand your ordeal but we don’t judge the whole human race by one man’s mistake. All women are not the same person”
“So tell me what scale of measurement will prove to me the difference as a matter of fact anyone in the feminine race is devilish and callous they are the same”. “Please give me breathing space” Shola replied. “I won’t stop until you change I am your best friend its my obligations to tell you the truth” Folarin responded with a bug frown.
Few weeks later, It was weekend Peju made her way through to the mall to get some stuff for the new week. She just got promoted in her place of work as the human resource officer literally adding more work load on her. She picked up needed groceries to return back to her car she took the exit door. Shola was about to enter through the glass tinted door of the mall when he bumped into Peju for the first time in his life after his past ordeal he felt a goose bump on him. “Good day” Shola said in smiles. “Thanks,Good day” Peju responded absent minded ir was obvious she had never met him before. “I am Shola, please can I know you better” “Oh! I am Peju, its my pleasure meeting you” “Can we be friends?” Shola emphasized. “Friends with no attachment I guess” Peju said firmly. “Sure” “Okay” The duo exchanged contact to begin the journey of friendship they shook hands together.
“Folarin, This Peju lady is one in a million she is just a true friend anyone would love to be with” Shola said beaming in smiles. “Finally you are in love, I am so happy for you at least you would prove bad belle people wrong” Folarin replied. “What’s this one talking about now? Did I mention to you that I love her all I said was that her company is loveable” Shola said amidst smiles “Hmmmm, Do you think I don’t know all those tricks we guys use. This one you are doing is called Theorem 1 of lovey dovey journey.” “Let me be Folarin I just told you the truth and if you don’t believe it then all the best for you………..” Just in time Shola’s phone rang you guessed right. The talk of the angels it was Peju’s call. Folarin knew she was the one he bursted into laughter. “If you will excuse me” Shola said grabbing his phone like a baby. “Hello, How are you doing today” Shola. “I am good” Peju responded “I was just about calling when your call came in” “Oh! I see” Peju replied “Can we have an hangout together today later in the evening” “Hmmmmn! The exact reason for my call I can tell you are in spirit” The duo laughed hysterically over the phone. “Let’s meet at Item 7 by 4:30pm” “Valid”.
The call came to end………
Few days later, “Why am I having this feeling that I just been hateful for no reason” Shola soliloquized. I am beginning to have an emotional chemistry for Peju but I just can’t forget what happened to me in the past I think I need help. I need to talk to an emotional coach about this before it escalate my psychology. Shola drove to the emotional consultancy office around his location. He explained his past ordeal to the consultant which happened to be a young man with a radiant smiles any man could discern that this man had what anyone could call Joy in his heart. “Having heard all you’ve said at first I want to celebrate your courage to share this with me as that the first step to true healing from any emotional trauma is to open up,The reason why you still harbour it in your heart is because you didn’t let go of the past hurt and trauma. The only one capable to help you out on this is the healer you must have heard about him as the provider or as a protector etc. The same man is the healer he heals not only cancer, fibroid, elephantiasis etc he also heals emotions and past hurt the man of Calvary still heals hurt Jesus his is name, Come unto me all ye that are burden and heavy laden and I will give unto rest. He replaces our hurts with his rest”. Mr.Johnson prayed with Shola after he gave his life to Christ. The second session was the real talk on Peju. “Mr Shola, Do you love this young lady or is it just emotions” Shola blushed endlessly all his life he never said it upfront about his love to any lady. “Yes I love her really” “Can you give her a call to come over here” Mr Johnson questioned. “Okay sir” In about twenty minutes later, Peju came in Mr Johnson also led her to Christ no doubt the two of them were misandrist and misogyny only Jesus could really help them both.
The next day, Shola wore a turkey shirt with a well ironed plain trousers and an Italian pair of shoes he was going to propose to Peju the love of his life after he found Christ. Peju received Shola’s call that he was on his way to her apartment she rushed in to wear something covered. She opened the door to meet the shock of her life Shola came with a band of instrumentalist. “Whose birthday is it today” she asked in amusement “Our birthday party”Shola responded. “Smiles, You and whose birthday” “Let’s leave story for story tellers Peju I love you and I want yo journey with you in marriage please be the pepper in my spaghetti and thread in my needle” “God! Yes I will”
The End……………
Misandrist and Misogyny reading this don’t judge the whole human race by one man’s error accept the love of Christ and let go of their flaws your healing is near by so doing. Blessed art thou
