“Oh! Can you boldly look into my face and explained how you prayed for eight hours” Lofe quizzed.

Faith gaped into her eyes

“Yes I did to the glory of God and I trust him for better” Gloria responded.

“How can a soul pray eight hours undoubtedly the person is jobless” Lofe amplified.

“I work with the bank and you know that so why formulate me as jobless, I only took a time survey schedule to help channel my time appropriately” Gloria grinned.

“Okay!”

“You can do it you know right”. Gloria

” Do what? I barely pray for ten minutes is it punishment? abeg (please)”.

“When did long hours prayer become punishment?”.

” Whatever”

There was an outbreak of hush before Gloria later spoke up.

“Dear, Let’s play a spiritual game”.

” What game?”.

“The dare game”.

” What about it?”

“Okay I will challenge you on a thing and you will do same for me”. Gloria responded.

“I dare you to pay for me a new book this new month” Lofe blurted smiling like she had just won jackpot.

“I will, I also dare you to pray for two hours everyday” Gloria concluded as she walked away.

Lofe stood like a log of wood, it was noticeable that the dare game was bigger than her capacity.

It’s new month pardon my habits though🤦‍♀️.

A happy new month to you, I am so sorry to wobble to your d.m but I have something for you.

Welcome to July 2022 oh! time truly flies this year January you had plans, visions, focus, blueprints, focal point for your spiritual life, marriage, relationship, finance, ministry, purpose etc.

None of these plans not even one has been accomplished.

I dare you that you are lethargic to your visions
I dare you that you are totally unconcerned with the status of your prayer life
I dare you that you are totally comfortable with the boredom oozing from that marriage
I dare you that you are soothing about the devil operations in your life.
I dare you that you feel pleasant with that business capital running down the ditch.

Okay!Am I sounding harsh or callous? Nay! it’s the Dare game.

Can I dare you that in this July your prayer level increases
I dare you that your marriage gets better this month
I dare you that your business thrive as you take step this month.
I dare you to be a burning generation for God.
I dare you read that book this month
I dare you take that course this month.
I dare you make that bold step this month and now.
I dare you to do more….

I hope this challenges your lethargic drive to arising and fixing things this month.

Ekiti ASUSS Chairman Bags Award

The Chairman, Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools, ASUSS Ekiti State has bagged the award of Pillar of Education Support.

The award which took place at NUJ Press Centre, Akure, Ondo State was organized by African Education Monitor magazine.

The publisher of the African Education Monitor Magazine and the initiator of the award, Mr Daisi Adetarami said the aim of the award ceremonies was to celebrate teachers, who were key stakeholders in the education sector.

He noted that while waiting for the ‘Heavenly’ reward, teachers should be celebrated and encouraged so that they could do their best in spite of the prevailing circumstances.
He said: “They are the actual role models in the society. The society will not forget them. They should continue to do more”.

The recipient, Comrade Olusola Adigun appreciated the organizers for deeming him fit to be honored a second time, as he had been so honored 10 years ago by the same organization.

He dedicated the award to the State Administrative Council (SAC) of Ekiti ASUSS who m corporated with him over the years in transforming the Union to an envy of all.

Reflecting on the theme of the event: Ramping Up Quality in Nigeria’s Education Sector – The Critical Role of Stakeholders, Comrade Adigun said, “All hands must be on desk.

All stakeholders must see to the revival of education by funding the sector adequately. They should make the lives of teachers better. When teachers are owed salaries and entitlements, they won’t be encouraged to perform well.”

Executives and members of ASUSS, Ekiti State were there to honour the Chairman with their presence. Among whom were Deputy Chairman Com Thomas Okunola,
Secretary Com Austin Adeola, Com Gabriel Aladeduye, Com Oluwatoyin Ojo and many others.

GospelNaija launches new weekly online contest tagged GOSPELNAIJA SHOWOFF

Foremost Nigerian Gospel promotion platform, GospelNaija has announced a new contest for Christians in the arts.

In a release by the founder of GospelNaija Ojez, the competition is targeted towards giving a platform to artistes to express themselves.

GospelNaijaShowOff is a weekly contest where participants would partake in sing-offs, dance-offs or other creative tasks to stand a chance to win prizes every week.

The subject of the contest will vary every week and it ranges from doing song covers to creating new dance moves for Gospel songs, while the prizes include cash and promotions.

The whole idea is to promote gospel music and build engagement among our community of talented singers and dancers, giving everyone another platform to be seen and heard.

The maiden edition will kick off tomorrow, Sunday 9th of May 2021. Stay tuned for details!
